Carrick Sculley joined The Agency’s Park Slope Brooklyn office in early 2025 to combine and pursue lifelong passions in real estate and New York. A “people person” through and through, he has been deeply involved in the rich cultural fabric of the city since the age of seven, singing in the Metropolitan Opera Children’s chorus for six years. Following his departure from The Met, Carrick studied classical music at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, as well as history, women and gender studies, and international business and economics at Boston University. Through BU, Carrick found an opportunity to work in a boutique real estate firm in Mayfair, London, reigniting his passion for real estate in 2023.
Carrick has always had a deep love of real estate, especially in New York, sparked by the beautiful Apthorp building on the Upper West Side. The work of a real estate salesperson is in itself a performance reminiscent of the operatic stage, leaving him uniquely equipped for the needs of all client types and objectives of a salesperson. Always excited to meet and talk with new people, Carrick connects with clients on a very personal level, bringing all of himself to every client interaction and transaction. With a history of an always-overflowing schedule of rehearsals and studies, the fast-paced nature of the real estate industry is a place Carrick can comfortably call home.
While Carrick was working in London, he worked on the commercial real estate transactions of a multitude of different client types and budgets, from small, local consulting companies and high-fashion retailers of one to five people, to large international investment firms and hotel groups with employee levels in the hundreds. He treated each client to the best of his ability and, to his knowledge and their feedback, left everyone more than satisfied in their new corporate homes. Carrick also assisted in “bespoke” residential listings, including a classic West London mansion and a luxury apartment in Knightsbridge. His successful stint in London highlighted the fact that Carrick’s future was in real estate, and he could not be more excited to traverse that journey further with The Agency.
In his free time Carrick is still a devoted patron of the Metropolitan Opera House in Lincoln Center, catching at least five performances a season. He is also loosely involved in the classical music world, maintaining close friendships with some of the amazing artists he met along the way in New York and beyond. He also enjoys traveling both domestically and abroad (especially to London when he can convince a friend or family member to join him). Carrick is a somewhat avid snowboarder and dedicated runner, results of his high school experiences on the track, cross country, and ski teams. He lives in Brooklyn and is visited regularly by his snowbird mother whenever she can find the time to leave the peaceful serenity of the Florida coast for the exciting chaos of New York.
